I Watch Real Estate Programs On Satellite TV

Real estate programs are some of my favorite programs to watch on DIRECT TV. I watch Design On A Dime whenever I get a chance, because I like to see what can be done with things that I already have on hand, or what I can pick up at the thrift store or garage sale.

It is always so neat to get to watch the carpenters on this program take something that has no appeal at all and turn it into something beautiful. Some of the things I have seen done this way are coffee tables that are transformed from 70" or 80" style to something contemporary and fits right into the design of the home.

Another thing that catches my attention is when they build an entirely new bed out of used lumber, with a headboard and all. I just want to do the same thing for myself. Of course, I am not as good a carpenter as they are.

When they take an old lamp and turn it into a work of art, I can't help thinking that I could do the same thing if I tried. I even wonder how they can take a favorite item of the home owner, and create a unique design from that. I wish I could get busy and start creating things like this for my own home.
